During vacations the centre is open 9am - 5pm Ocassionally we are closed for staff training from 12.30pm to 2.00pm. During this time, if it is an emergency and you must contact a doctor, phone the other surgery for the practice you are registered with:- Dr Cowan & Partners (PINK PRACTICE) - (024) 7667 4123 Explain that it is a MEDICAL EMERGENCY Students need to register with the Health Centre when they become resident on site or within the catchment area. Doctors are only present when holding their surgery and are not available on site at all times. However there is always one of the practice nurses on duty at the centre. The Health Centre is not far from the Arts Centre and the Post Office and is located at the bottom of Health Centre Road adjacent to Car Park 6. There are 4 spaces in this car park reserved for persons visiting the doctor. There are parking spaces for disabled persons allocated in Health Centre Road. SERVICES PROVIDED for registered patients:
We can arrange contact with counsellors, physiotherapists, self-help groups, midwives and health visitors. NB There is also a University Counselling service completely separate from the health centre |
