Monday 1st: 9.30am-4.30pm
Tuesday 2nd: 9.30am-4.30pm

If you miss these opportunities, you can visit the Health Centre and register there. If you have been registered with a GP medical practice in this country then you must bring your NHS number ( on your medical card or ask current GP) with you.
Overseas students here earlier for Induction week can register in the same room on Friday 28th September 9.30am – 4.00pm. If you have lived in this country before then you must tell us your NHS number. Overseas students who have attended a boarding school in this country would have been registered with a GP practice and you must tell us your NHS number.
Health Checks and Vaccinations?
Students with a significant medical condition (e.g. diabetes, asthma, epilepsy etc) or on regular medication (bring medication) should have a health check in the first weeks of term. We recommend that students should be vaccinated against Meningitis (Meningitis C vaccine) and Mumps (MMR vaccine.)
After you have registered in the Students’ Union, the Health Centre will be open on Saturday and Sunday for the same hours above for Health Checks and Meningitis / Mumps vaccinations only. Please allow a few hours before coming to the Health Centre so we can transfer your forms.
If you cannot come to the Health Centre over the weekend OR you register after midday on Sunday September 30th, then Health Checks and vaccinations will also be available Monday – Friday from Monday 8th October during the hours the Health Centre is open .
You may be asked for ID and/or proof you are a student e.g University Card or student number, passport etc..
Length of course
If you are on a course at University of Warwick and there is at least 3 months to its end you can register with us. If coming from the EEC bring your European Health Card with you.
Address?
If you change your address at University at any time. You must inform the health centre otherwise the Health Authority may remove you from our lists. Students living outside the catchment area (e.g. Leamington Spa) need to register with a medical practice covering your residential area.
Vacation?
During vacations you remain registered with the GP practice at University Health Centre but if you are ill whilst at home your family GP/ your previous GP practice will usually see you as a temporary resident.
Travel
Many students travel to many places in the world either during or immediately after their time at University. Whether your home is Britain or another country it is important to get travel advice and possibly travel vaccinations before a journey to a new country. Our Nurses are trained to give such support but arrange an appointment early, usually at least 8 weeks before departure |
